She Said, Don't Make Others Suffer For Your Personal Hatred
I do not like it Sam I am,
Why? Why do they do this? Crappy licensed games are inevitable as long as dumb fans continue to buy them, but that doesn't take the sting off.
Yet another travesty of a game based on one of my favorite TV series. When are people going to learn that Evangelion doesn't lend itself to an interactive medium? It isn't Gundam or Robotech; the giant robots aren't the point. Even if they were, the battle sequences are too short to sustain a game; it would be next to impossible to capture the intensity or diversity present in the anime. Blech. At least I can take solace in the hope that profits from this will go towards Rebuild's budget.
It's about the characters dammit,

Don't worry. They won't.
Also: People seem to kind-of like Girlfriend of Steel a little bit.
People are stupid
They have done the same with the whole Gundam video game thing as well. Out of the whole 20 or so games based on Gundam (and I mean solely here, Super Robot Wars is a great game and features Gundams among other things) I can say that I only like one of them: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Federation Versus Zaft II P.L.U.S. for the PS2, or RvZ2 for those in the know. It is huge in the Japanese arcades because its actually a fun game to play, a rarity for genres such as this. Best of all, they take everything from SEED directly, from the music, the authentic voice actors, and all of the nicely designed mobile suits. Whoever made this game truly was a fan of the series without a doubt. I can't say that with certainty with some of the shitty games out there that just try and take advantage of a large fanbase.
